Cryogenic Treatment on Engines

What is Cryogenic Treatment? Cryogenic Treatment is a process being use to increase engine performance, reduce wear and improve longevity of the motor.  This is a one-time irreversible treatment that improves the entire structure, not just the surface, and gives your engine the stability once found only in seasoned engines. This process increase engine performance and engine lifespan through rearrangement of an engine’s molecular structure after utilizing proprietary computer controlled freezing process.  Cryogenic tempering occurs after creating a significant increase inabrasive wear resistance and overall durability for an engine, resulting in improved tensile strength, toughness and stability within the metals.  This helps release internal residual stressess, which were created when the engine was manufactured.  Overall the Motorsport industry use cryogenic processing for stress relief, dimensional stabilization, increased wear resistance and durability for their engines and other high performance parts associated with the chassis.  In fact almost every part in an engine assembly will benefit in one form or another from cryogenic processing.  This treatment is for any vehicle, not just for the race cars, but any vehicle on the road that is doing engine repairs. Deep cryogenic processing increase horsepower and torque normally, but it increase the life of an engine significantly.  Less wear equals less cylinder taper, higher sustained compression and smoother engine components reduce adhesive drag.  This means bearings last longer, cams last longer, heads don’t warp, blocks stay square and valves slide smoothly. Call us and let’s discuss a few real life stories and how we can help you improve the life of vehicle’s engine.

Toyota Corolla Conversion

Our latest project – Toyota Corolla 160i GLE.  The engine was removed and completely rebuild.  A Dastek Uni-Q and turbo fueller was added to the equation.  The gearbox was removed and received some special treatment, longer ratio 5th gear and a LSD.  The rear brakes were upgraded from drums and shoes to disc’s and pads.  The front brakes was change to EBC disc’s and “yellow stuff” pads.  The suspension was upgraded to BC Coil overs, front and rear and new trailing arms and strut brace (fabricated in house).  A new Garrett Turbo T25 was fitted and 63mm, 304 stainless steel boost pipes.   550x175x65 front mounted inter cooler.  After everything was fitted, the bumper was modified to fit the “new” Toyota with addition of Cressida spoiler. The finale power figures is yet to be obtained as the motor is still being run in.

Alientech / Flash Tune/Performance/ economy tune

Alientech v2 The Alientch Kess and K Tag is the latest equipment on the market to read ECU on vehicles.  This is the latest technology that will help companies with big fleets to save on fuel bills or just the ordinary man on the street to save on monthly fuel bills. This type of saving can be done on mostly any vehicle (diesel or petrol) (electronic injected engines).  Not only will it save your wallet, there are also environmental improvements resulting from our flash/chip tune. How does the Alientch equipment work? We download the existing “map” from the vehicles ECU, which normally takes about half an hour.  We re-write the file,  optimizing the fueling and timing to give the best economy, saving you fuel and money.  Not only do we do the optimization, we also do the performance flash, that will give your vehicle more power and a smoother drive, changing gears and just all around better performance.  Once all this is done, the new file is reloaded on the vehicle and set up on a dyno.  We do dyno run before and after flash tune.  However this can only be done if all the hardware such as injectors, Air mass meters, lambda sensors etc., etc. is in good working order. Why you should invest in flash tune/chip tune/ re-map? * Between 10-15% savings on cost of fuel * Up to 20% reduction on emissions * Zero proven impact on warranty and zero impact on residual value * No mechanical modifications * Minimal downtown for busy vehicles * No on-going maintenance fees – only fuel saving monitoring * Reset vehicle to standard at any time * We can control fuelling, boost timing, creating safe additional power and torque For more information and piece of mind do not hesitate to contact us, speak to Dean and he will be able to give you the best advice. 0824587846 or dean@precisionperformance.co.za

Car Service South Africa, Performance Tuning

We  service and maintain  all types of vehicles,  4 cylinder, 6 cylinder, BMW, Porsche, Mercedes, Ferrari and all Exotic cars.  We use only the best quality parts available on the market.   We do turbo conversion, custom made intake manifolds, and many more conversions.  We supply and fit Management Systems. There are two different modifications  for any vehicle: Mechanical Modifications: by means of Engine rebuilds, turbo conversions and turbo upgrades. Software Modifications: Through enhancement of certain parameters of the vehicles ECU by means of re-mapping / chip tuning, fitment of Spitronics and aftermarket management systems.  To do this chip tune/flash tune, we use the latest Alientech/ Flash Tune equipment. Both solutions are available for turbo charged – as well as normally aspirated production, sport and exotic cars. For more information read our “Engine Management and Tuning, and Tuning for Economy” categories.
